AI that does more – moving from chat to action
By the end of this workshop, Executive Assistants will feel a clear shift in how they think about AI – no longer a tool you ‘use’, but as a partner that actively helps get work done. Instead of leaving with more ideas or prompts to try, you will walk away with practical workflows already mapped to your day-to-day responsibilities, and the confidence to start using them immediately.
This session focuses on the real transition happening right now: from AI that answers questions to AI that takes action. Through practical demonstrations using tools like Microsoft Copilot and its emerging Cowork capabilities, participants will see how AI can draft communications, coordinate meetings, summarise information, and follow through on tasks across multiple systems, without constant manual input.
More importantly, EAs will learn where this kind of execution-level AI genuinely saves time, where it still needs your oversight, and how to set clear boundaries so the technology supports your role rather than complicates it. The workshop keeps a strong focus on real scenarios EAs deal with every day, ensuring everything covered is immediately relevant and usable.
Participants will leave not just understanding what is possible, but with at least one fully thought-through workflow they can implement straight away, whether that is streamlining meeting prep, managing inbox follow-ups, or coordinating recurring tasks.
The goal is simple: Walk back into the office with something that works from day one.
Key Outcomes:
- Moving from ‘asking AI’ to delegating real work and getting completed outputs back
- Seeing AI carry out multi-step tasks across Microsoft 365, not just generating content
- Creating a ready-to-use workflow that handles a real EA responsibility end-to-end
- Identifying quick-win opportunities in your current workload where AI can save hours
- Understanding how tools like Claude complement Copilot for more complex or nuanced tasks
- Leaving with practical security measures so you stay in control while AI handles execution
