Psychosocial Risk Management Workshop

09.00 – 16.00 Tuesday 21 October 2025, Melbourne

Full Day Pre-Conference Workshop:

Designing effective interventions for workplace psychosocial risk management and wellbeing

Psychosocial wellbeing of employees is critical to mitigating the risk of serious injury, fostering positive workplace culture, and ensuring you get the best out of your people. Though many of the new psychosocial risk provisions have now been implemented in some form across Australia, psychological injury and mental ill-health continue to impact organisations of every size. It is more vital than ever that your approach to occupational safety and wellbeing is designed around the key psychosocial hazards and regulatory obligations facing all workplaces – before it’s too late!

This workshop will equip your safety team with the key tools and knowledge needed to create and implement comprehensive and meaningful psychosocial safety interventions. Framing the learnings of the 11th Psychological Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace Congress the two days following, you will develop effective mechanisms which measure and address the psychosocial wellbeing of employees strategically, aligned with current WHS regulations, evidence-based tools, and operational best practice. Led by an expert workshop leader, with decades of experience in the psychological safety space, you will build effective and sustainable person-centred psychological safety strategies, based on the specific needs of your workforce, with particular insights including:

  • Building your psych safety system around core components of workplace psychosocial wellbeing
  • Identifying potential psychosocial hazards for early intervention and prevention
  • Ensuring your psychosocial risk management approach is aligned with national best practice
  • Investigating potential incidences of realised psychosocial risk with care
  • Developing a comprehensive psychosocial safety approach which targets root causes
  • Engaging employees and stakeholders in the development of meaningful psychosocial wellbeing programs
  • Evaluating the success of wellbeing programs and making continuous improvements

Don’t miss this opportunity to ensure you don’t fall behind! Protect the mental wellbeing of your workforce, above and beyond your obligations!
