Workshop outcomes
After completing this workshop you will be able to:
- Setting intentions and boundaries: Define clear goals, identify non-negotiables, and guide negotiations with structure.
- Mastering communication to receive information and build ‘connection’: Use active listening, body language, eye contact, tone of voice, and open-ended questions to recognise emotions, build rapport, and gather insights.
- Negotiation versus persuasion: Learn the difference between negotiation and persuasion to enable collaboration through negotiation or assert influence using persuasion.
- Influencing with persuasion: Build trust by establishing credibility, align arguments with the other party’s interests, and balance logic with emotional appeal to drive success.
By applying strategies learnt in this session, you can effectively achieve each of the four outcomes in various negotiation and persuasion scenarios. You will leave with the practical tools to confidently navigate tricky situations and achieve results.
